Welcome to the website for the Big Wyoming Appaloosa Horse Club. Our mission is to promote the Appaloosa horse in Wyoming and in the surrounding states. We hold an annual show every year in August. At our annual banquet we voted to keep the show in Torrington, WY at the Goshen County Fairgrounds. Our show features cattle classes as well as the more traditional classes including halter, western, english, trail, jumping, games, and heritage. We also offer Foundation Appaloosa halter classes as well as weanling futurity and yearling jackpot classes. We also cross point with Mountain and Plains and this year we have entered into an agreement to cross point with the Nebraska Appaloosa Horse Club’s June show.

We are going to be doing an all breed jackpot team roping on Friday evening at 7 pm before our weekend show on August 9-10, 2008. This jackpot team roping will be capped to a #6 roper per person and will be a 4 head progressive roping and will be progressive after two head. The cost to enter will be $50 per man which includes stock and office charges. Enter as many times as you like.

We also partner with our Colorado Club, Mountains and Plains to help sponsor booths for both the Stock Show and the Colorado Horse Expo.

Newsflash: We have reduced our Flat Fees and our Youth Fees for the 2008 show.
Open & Non Pro - Flat Fee - $150 + National Point Fees - One Horse / Unlimited Riders
$10 per Judge + National Point Fees ($40 per class +$8 National Point Fee)
This fee does not include cattle, stalls, jump or office fees.

Youth - $5 per class and $10 per open class if the youth shows the horse in the open class. This fee does include the youth’s National Point Fee, but it does not include jump, stall or office fee.
